Some people will consider all evidence to be fabricated, regardless of how much of it there is, and no matter how good it is. They think just because it could be hoaxed, that is must be a hoax. That's a flawed logic, though. When you consider that many other real events can be hoaxed or photoshopped.
They will always have an explanation even if it is more far fetched than the original. Or they will try to discredit the person, as if that somehow negates the event. So the hoaxes don't help, but this stuff could slap some people in the face and they would tell you it was an airplane, Venus, or swap gas. Some people won't be convinced, personally I see no point in trying.
I'd rather use my efforts making sure that open minded people get a chance to check out what people have reported, than spend it at futility.
Regardless of what the things may be, that people are seeing in the skies, and sometimes even in and out of the water. I think we'll have better answers as time goes by. It's good to know that there are people out there paying attention to the world around them.
