UFO's in North FL
« on: September 07, 2009, 09:36:48 PM »
Hi all,

New here. I have posted this on other forum's and just got laughed at.  I'm just trying to find out what I saw in the sky.  On to my story:

So I just got back from a much needed vacation in FL.  My family and I rented a beach house to stay at for the week in a small town 40 min’s south of Tallahassee.  Three of the six nights that we were down there, we believe that we saw UFO's in the sky.  The first night we saw them was Monday, July 27th.  The next morning we talked to the neighbor's and some other people on the beach and they all saw the same lights in the sky.  So that night we set up our chairs again and saw the lights again but just twice.  Wednesday night we did not see anything.  Thursday night, they appeared again and they were hovering over a shrimp boat that wasn’t too far off of shore.  All the appearances happened between 10-11 pm at night.

The video that I have uploaded is edited to show all of the sighting.  The unedited video has long pauses of darkness. Also, I have uploaded an mpeg2 version of the video to reduce the amount of compression.  You will need a decoder to see it, if you do not already have one.  The only plausible explanation that I have gotten it that it could be the flame from a missile/jet.

If you would like, I could also get these up on megavideo. Then post your experience along with the streaming video over on MyUFO linking back to here as well.

I really like the idea of a forum, otherwise I wouldn't have set it up. Unfortunately, UFO Times has very little activity. At least it is here, to allow an easier medium for discussion when people need it.

I would like to thank you for posting your sighting, and I certainly have no reason to laugh at you. I'm just sorry there have not been any responses. I noticed it when you posted it, and have checked back to see if anyone had posted.

I don't feel like I'm an expert, so that is the reason why I rarely give my opinions on sightings. That's why I structured the blog at My UFO the way I did. People can use the various ways on the site, to search and cross reference the sightings on the sight that are told from first hand perspective. Letting them read the witnesses exact words, and maybe even be able to discuss the sighting with them. I'll be glad to help out if I am able.

I just thought I should post, so you would know you were not being ignored.

http://myufo.com/?page_id=2396 is an upload box with a 2GB limit per file, it'll email me when there is an upload. Plus if you use the small form below it, to tell me about the upload, I can better proceed with handling the files. Making it easier to get up, documents, pictures, and streaming videos.

Thats cool,  I was exicted at the fact that I saw something unusual in the sky and wanted to get others opinions on it.  Unfortunately, due to the large amount of hoax's out there, people dont bother to pay attention to these kinds of things.

Some people will consider all evidence to be fabricated, regardless of how much of it there is, and no matter how good it is. They think just because it could be hoaxed, that is must be a hoax. That's a flawed logic, though. When you consider that many other real events can be hoaxed or photoshopped.

They will always have an explanation even if it is more far fetched than the original. Or they will try to discredit the person, as if that somehow negates the event. So the hoaxes don't help, but this stuff could slap some people in the face and they would tell you it was an airplane, Venus, or swap gas. Some people won't be convinced, personally I see no point in trying.

I'd rather use my efforts making sure that open minded people get a chance to check out what people have reported, than spend it at futility.

Regardless of what the things may be, that people are seeing in the skies, and sometimes even in and out of the water. I think we'll have better answers as time goes by. It's good to know that there are people out there paying attention to the world around them.
